Russian writer Vladimir Fedorovich Odoevsky (1804-1869) was an extraordinary and very versatile person. He knew philosophy and mathematics, physics and chemistry, wrote music himself and invented musical instruments. And Vladimir Fedorovich was very fond of children and wrote stories and fairy tales for them, from which, as V.G. Belinsky, "breathes with warmth and life."
“Moroz Ivanovich” is one of the best works of V.F. Odoevsky for children, it was created on the basis of the plot of folk tales about Morozko. “Moroz Ivanovich” by Odoevsky is an old and wise tale that labor and kindness are always rewarded, and laziness and indifference spoil a person. "According to the work - and the reward" - the main idea of the tale.
The premiere of the musical winter fairy tale "Moroz Ivanovich" was prepared by talented musicians "SHEPHERD TRIO" (translated from English as "shepherd trio"). Artistic word - actor of drama theater and cinema, Sergey Stepanov. The ensemble "Shepherd trio" includes laureates of all-Russian and international competitions, musicians of the Moscow State Conservatory. P.I. Tchaikovsky, performing in prestigious concert halls - Pyotr STEPANOV (oboe, oboe d'amour or oboe of love), Kristina STEPANOVA (oboe, English horn) and Alexandra POLYAKOVA (piano).
Oboe - a descendant of a simple shepherd's pipe, is listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the most complex instrument. To achieve a gentle and caressing sound, you need to have not only talent and desire, but also perseverance in “taming” it. The Shepherd trio ensemble is unique for Russia, because the oboes family is represented in it almost in its entirety. “Those who once fell in love with its unique sounds will carry this love through their whole lives,” this is how the musicians themselves confess their love for the oboe.
The winter fairy tale "Moroz Ivanovich" will sound accompanied by the music of the great Russian composers: Nikolai Andreevich Rimsky-Korsakov, Alexander Porfiryevich Borodin, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and Mikhail Ivanovich Glinka.
