The Danish writer and poet Hans Christian Andersen addressed his works to both children and adults. The heartbreaking story of an ugly duckling that turned into a beautiful swan touches the heart at any age. "The Ugly Duckling" was first published in the distant 1843 and still has not lost its relevance. The author gives us unshakable lessons of virtue and vitality.
The Moscow ensemble "SHEPHERD TRIO" has prepared this wonderful tale performed by oboe and cor anglais. The musicians took as a basis the animation of 1956 and a fascinating translation from Danish by Anna Ganzen. The fairy tale acquires bright colors thanks to the music of foreign and Russian composers: B. Godard, A. Dvorak, J. V. Kallivoda, A. Glazunov and C. Saint-Saens.
The ensemble will include laureates of all-Russian and international competitions, musicians of the Moscow State Conservatory. P.I. Tchaikovsky, performing in the prestigious concert halls of our country - Pyotr STEPANOV (oboe) and Kristina STEPANOVA (oboe, English horn), as well as a diploma winner of many all-Russian and international competitions, accompanist of the class of Alexei Utkin (Golden Oboe of Russia) Alexandra POLYAKOVA (piano) . The artists will not let even the youngest audience get bored, and the story of the ugly duckling, skillfully told by the "Shepherd trio", will surely become a favorite of every child.
